The Purpose of Life (Part-1)

Learning is a never ending process in life. It starts as soon as we are born.

After birth of a child, he initially learn the hand eye coordination, then as a toddler, learns alphabets and number then as a we grow older and older we learn many things related to education then social, also emotional skills, functioning of the society, business models, earnings, many more things in life.

But one thing sometimes, we do forget is "the purpose of life".

What is this all about? Who are we ? Why are we here on earth? How can we make the world a better place to live? When will we do it?

These 5 questions, in my opinio, we must ask ourselves once in a while to remind us the purpose of life.

People have various ambitions, passions and goals but many dwell between the choices they make in life. For an example, " Mr X wanted to be an engineer when he was in school, but he never knew what engineer does except an Architect, who designs and builds buildings. As he grew up came in senior school, suddenly he wanted to be a Scientist, who wants to carry out new experiments , innovations for development of society. 

After school, he wanted to be a Pilot or Astronaut because now he was more interested in sky and space. But somehow he joined Mechanical engineering.

During Engineering, he decided to be a scientist again, cleared few exsms. He got the rank but due to some reasons he didn't or say couldn't join. Then he decided to be a lecturer but was not satisfied and wanted to join defence. But somehow he  became a Mariner.

In parallel to all of this, family's wishes and relatives pressure , what friends were doing, suggestions from others were also affecting his decisions.

If you see the story of Mr. X then it sounds like a bouncing ball, but did we notice as a young mind the potential he had to achieve things in life? He could be anything if shaped well. 

Whenever i see a child i see all what Mr. X had thought and he could have been.

"Life is a journey of decisions made by us." The choices we make today defines the future course and shapes our lives. Making a choice is not an easy task when it comes to a decision for life, we all know about it. 

Recently after these many years i suddenly realised making a choice was not that difficult as it sounded, we all know pros and cons of our decisions yet we are scared of the end result. What's that fear?? Is it the  fear of failure? or fear of regret? 

One will not pass an exam until he appears for it. One will not achieve something unless he tries it.

So we need to keep our choices clear, decisions firm and mind focussed to achieve the goal.

But what is that goal? What is that motto, that purpose ? 

Many will say to have a good career, nice house, big car, family, becoming rich, earning fame are the goals. 

But only few will say, the purpose of life is to change the world and make it a better place, to make world peaceful, bring harmony, and to save environment for generations to come.

I often wonder why humans are born. Let's take an example of an animal or plant, they take birth, eat other plants, insects, etc and produce by-products which are then consumed by others and it's a chain which we know as food chain. 

But look at humans, we take birth, do innovations and  developments, then slowly slowly destroy environment by producing harmful gases, chemicals, wastes which are neither consumed by animals, plants or tree nor consumed in earth, for example plastic takes hundreds of years to degrade.

There are various pollution, noise is one type of pollution which is mainly due to industrialisation, traffic, etc. Similarly there are many other pollution, eg: Air, water, soil which we all know, and have written big essays in schools, colleges and even many thesis have been written on these topics, which highlights many sources of pollutions. 

Ironically same people, we, use Air conditioning, High end cars, elevators which obviously use fuel, electricity for their operation. For producing electricity we burn fossil fuel, natural gas, wood, coal, etc. We are, in this way, polluting environment.

How do we know what is our purpose? Why are we innovating ? If you say for advancement, Ok then what  cost are we paying? We are doing nothing but exploiting the nature around us, the planet on which we are living. 

I beleive humans lost their purpose of life when desires increased. When electricity was not invented, humans were expecting life will be easy if some source of light will be discovered. Then it happened , well our expectations increased, now we needed fans , electrical appliances, then sources of entertainment then batteries and then it went on and on. If we ask ourselves this question why aren't we satisfacted at this, then the common answer will be  life should be easy and simple. But look, what are we doing to the environment around us?? to trees?? to birds?? to animals? Gone!! Slowly slowly temperature of our planet is increasing, the hole in ozon layer growing bigger in size, immune system is degrading and many other things are happening, which is making me feel that soon Earth will not be habitable.

Ok! Let's go to Mars, moon, Jupiter. Wait!! Then what will we do there?? Advancement? Development??? Then what! Another planet and then another. 

Have you yet found out what is the purpose of life?

"The new world" Part-1

I was not really thinking of writing something at this hour of night but some thing provoked me, energised me and forced me to write and share few things.
In upcoming blogs i shall elaborate the things mentioned here in details.
Where are we heading? Salvation or the End? If salvation then is it the right path? Is it the right karma to do in these tough times??
If it is the end then what after it? New life??
Many strange things are happening around us in this pendemic time where the nations are fighting, people looking for old friends, some are craving for taste and some are dying for bread, families are fighting and the list is endless.
But there is a group of people, who have a different approach on this all together. This end can be the new beginning if the right method is applied on the reconstruction of the world, every individual can utilise this opportunity to bring the best of themselves. Sometimes breaking the bonds are necessary for the betterment.
Few people, who are sitting in their house, reading what is available on twitter, facebook, instagram, News channels, think that they know the situation on the ground. Their entire thinking process has completely changed. They are being fed with negativity, and eventually they have become self centered. For them negative is the new positive.
I read an article from a stand up comedian who said "We must bring this governmnent down." On what basis?? Well he wants government to help poors by providing them cash and essential things, which, i also believe, they must do, but what about his duty, what about our duty? Why this always needs to be reminded to each one of us from time to time that we are social animals. This is our duty too to help those who are in need.
World after COVID19 will change. This is in our hands whether we choose the right stream to flow with, or the wrong.
My intentions are to spread positivity among all who are suffering from isolation and lonliness and bring them back to the real world where everyone is same, everyone is sane, happy and alive.
The nature is healing, and we shall too.

समुंदर - 2 / Samundar -2

दिल को कौन समझाये की ख्वाब बस ख्वाब होते है और कुछ नही;
इक ख्वाब है कि तुम को मिल जाए एक दिन और बह जाऐ इस इश्क के समंदर मे संग संग;
आ जायें फिर किनारे और थोङा आराम फरमा कर, माझी को कह दें छोड आ हमे इक बार फिर;
यादें और अश्क ही हैं अब हमारे पास,  ईमान और दिल तो संग ले गई है आप;
गुज़रा हुआ ज़माना गुज़री हुई यादें छू कर जब भी जाती है हमारे दिल को, आह में भी नाम तेरा आता है जुबान पर;
सोचते हैं दबा दें छुपा दें तेरी यादे, चुभन ये यादो की बर्दाश्त नही होती और अब;
या तो ये कह दो नही था कुछ, नही है कुछ; नही तो दूर कर दो गिले शिकवे वहीं सारे;
बहुत ही दूर है दूर थे हम तुम इस नीले समुंदर मे, आकर मिलें और साथ ही मिलकर किश्ती निकालें ।

समुंदर / Samundar

सुना है समुंदर भी है जीवन के जैसा, इसमें भी उठती है गिरती है लहरें।
कभी मस्ती है कभी रवानी है इसमें, और कभी सुनामी सा तूफान उठा है ।
कभी लगता है एक तलैया सा जीवन, कभी समुंदर से गहरा होता दिखा है।
कभी होता है यह नदी के पानी सा मीठा, कभी आंसुओं से भी खारा हुआ है।
जी चाहता है सबको बसा लूं मैं इसमें, जैसे समुंदर में रहते हैं जलचर।
असीम है, अनंत है, अथाह है समुंदर; बन जाऊं मै भी समुंदर के जैसा।

Things and Thoughts, How much do we follow ?

In recent past I have seen and heard many people speaking various stuff regarding Bringing Back humanity, Swacch Bharat and many more social issues. But how much do we follow it? How much do we change things around us ? Thats the question i wanna ask .
 The Prime Minister of India Mr. Narendra Modi announced scwacch Bharat Abhiyaan , which is good as it will for sure improve the waste management of our country and in fact will increase the hygiene standards; but people from opposition started imposing allegations on him and his party. They says to the public, "We won't make you sweep the roads as this PM does." I ask these people, Then who will clean the roads? you ? or the people who will come as a guest to your country, those people? Should there be any shame in cleaning our own country ? At one side we call our Country our mother, Bharat Mata, and on the other side we don't want to keep it clean. I see neither the responsibility nor the humanity in this. This is Our duty to make our place hygienic, clean. This will help us in two ways, first the health standard will improve and secondly the appearance of the place will improve which in turn attract the foreigners and visitors to us. That will for sure bring much more revenue for the country.
Now, this Bringing Back Humanity thing is on full swing on Internet (Don't know how many people in real follow this.). There are some popple who do the social experiments on various issues, which if you see is very much inspiring and we can learn a lot from them. But plenty of popple look for an opportunity to be famous with these. One of the funniest was in which a person organised a match for blind slum people for rupees 5000 INR and made a video of it, posted on facebook, recieved thousands of likes. I don't want to criticize him as the money he gave to those people had helped them in some way but i want to say that person, why don't you just think of the sustainable development of them and set up something which will help them for a long time. That amount would be over within days, then after that what?? will you gain go and organize that match ?? I don't think so. In India, i read somewhere, there is 1 NGO per 600 people but only 1 police man for 943 people. Out of these NGOs only 2% are registered . Something is wrong here, isn't it?  I personally want to help each and every person in need with full of my strength and ability and the same i want from you all. Come forward and help poor and needy peoples, but not just by writing, and posting photos and videos but by heart. It really gives the happiness to the soul. Do it not just for photos or videos but for your own happiness. Things should be done in such a way that they'll remain fruitful for them for a long time. This is called sustainable development.
Recently one of the very famous film maker along with a well known film actor came along with a film based on the orthodox things which our country has been following for a long time. The movie was nice and the concept was good. Although it faced many controversies but finally it was claimed as Hit on the box office. Against the controversies the film maker and his team said "It is something real which people follow in India. This film is not hurting one particular community's feelings but just showing the reality." But on the other side if you see these people only went to many places and mosques to pray for the success of their movie , they even followed many orthodox rituals, why?? Why do they do that? They were teaching good things to the people by their movies, then why don't they follow that by themselves? It's complicated stuff and i believe we are wise enough to make out what is right and what is wrong.
People are killing people in the name of God. Does god say that kill people who don't believe in him? Then what about the atheist? Why to kill people of other religions? These people poison minds of kids. They teach them to be a martyr in the name of god by blowing themselves up! What's that??? It's terrifying truth that they train children for the wrong cause. Will you say to your children, Go kill who doesn't obey me or follow me, let it be your friends, family or anybody? No!!! Never. Beware and think wisely. Be rational and analyse this all. God is one who created the universe. He's an Immortal power which peoples have described in their various ways. It's something to feel within yourself. We don't need anyone to make us realize what he is and what does he say. We know in ourselves what is right and wrong. The right things never says to take the path of violence and to kill people. The message of the soul when misinterpreted, leads to pitiful results.
We have to think in ourselves about these all issues and take steps accordingly. The basic of humanity is "Do what you want others to do. Treat everyone with dignity and empathy." That will surely leads us to peace and salvation.
